Your life is much too valuable to waste time worrying about money.  God has promised to take care of your needs as you take care of His.

The value of your life is very precious. God designed you in a unique way so as to provide you with the proper skills and wisdom you need in order to accomplish the assignments He selected just for you.

Wisdom comes to you in many forms. Sometimes it comes to you through dreams, songs, support groups, and bible studies. Sometimes you gain it through conversations with family and friends. 

You see the true value of life from a spiritual perspective. You see treasures of the Divine sprinkled over the earth’s canvas in colorful wildflowers, spectacular sunsets, and twinkling night skies.

You enjoy the simple things of life. The basic necessities of food and drink are never taken for granted nor their preparation treated as drudgery. You do not worry for these basic needs, but rather, you celebrate them as gifts from God.

You believe the bountiful blessings God has given are meant to be shared with others. You have a warm and generous heart. 

You know that life is more important than mere possessions. The true value of life far exceeds the things which can only be measured by human currency.

Your presence on this planet is being developed into a remarkable blend of generosity, wisdom, and integrity.

As God carefully molds you into the image of His Son, you are being transformed into a wise and wonderful human being.

Not Everyone Can Go Where You’re Going

Judges 7:4

Then the Lord said to Gideon, “There are still too many men. Take them down to the water and I will test them for you there. If I say, ‘This man will go with you,’ he will go. But if I say, ‘That one will not go with you,’ he will not go.”

As you fulfill your mission and follow the call of God on your life, you sometimes encounter the loss of support upon which you had previously relied. 

As you seek to fulfill the objectives God has set before you, a curious pattern seems to emerge. Many, who join you with passionate enthusiasm in the beginning, drop out before the project is completed.

While the world tells you that there is strength in numbers, your experience tells you otherwise. Time and time again, you have watched as friends and colleagues are called by God to other pursuits, while you are left to wonder how you will ever fulfill your mission without them.

You, like Gideon, are sometimes overwhelmed with the size of the battle in relation to the number of warriors in your company.  However, you trust that God is the Commander of Angel Armies, so whatever you lack in human support, you receive in abundance from the spirit realm.

You understand that your journey is unique to your destiny and design. You realize that God has choreographed your life experiences to mesh with the talents and gifts you possess in order to fulfill the mission for which you were created.

While there are many who admire you, and hundreds who applaud you, only a few will actually go with you.

Little by little, God has removed your support system of humans so that your reliance remains on Him. When the battle is over and victory is won, you will not be tempted to give credit to other humans or take credit for yourself.

As you watch the number of workers decrease, you must fight against anxious thoughts which breed fear and worry.

You must dismiss feelings of rejection or abandonment, and choose rather to be grateful for the time of support you received.

When Gideon was first called, he struggled with a sense of inadequacy and cowardice. God brought many soldier volunteers to his side, to bolster his courage and boost his confidence. That was their only purpose, and once Gideon was on board and ready, God removed those props, one by one, until only a few remained.

Not every soldier was destined to go into battle with Gideon.  In the same manner, not every person who joins your journey will be called to go the distance.

Not everyone can go where you are going. Each has their own call to follow. God brings many wonderful people into your life, to bolster your courage and strengthen your resolve.

You are grateful for their support and you remain gracious when the time comes for them to move on.

Trust

Psalm 7:1

Lord my God, I trust in you for protection.

You have invested your most valuable assets into the Kingdom of Christ. Contributions of trust and loyalty are given freely to God and His returns never disappoint.

Unflinching faith comes to you like a divine download and you are often amazed by a sudden level of confidence which seems to appear out of nowhere.

You actively seek help from God and as a reward for your humble request, the Holy Spirit infuses you with the wisdom to discover solutions which you know are beyond your natural level of comprehension.

You prove yourself to be a trustworthy protector of what is sacred. You give honor to God and show respect to His creation.

As you place your trust in God, He places His trust in you.

The Face of God

Numbers 6:25

The Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.

The face of God shining into your life creates an aura of warmth and light in the atmosphere surrounding you.

This glow of the Spirit illuminates spaces which were once dark and gloomy. People are drawn to your light and hope to experience it for themselves.

The wonderful thing about this light is that it can be shared freely without losing its intensity.

Since the glow of God’s face is like that of the sun, all of creation can bask in its warmth. There is no limit to the number of beneficiaries who can receive the sustenance it offers.

 As this warmth and light of God’s face shines on you and through you, healing comes.

Just like the sunshine persuades spring flowers to emerge, you too carry the ability to encourage the colorful expressions of God’s unique design to blossom in the lives of those you influence.

You carry a big responsibility, for without the glow of God shining through you, some who are searching for the light would remain in darkness.

This light you carry is warm and inviting. It brings healing and comfort. It is the grace of God shining on you and through you into a world that would otherwise seem very cold and dark.

Freedom Fighter

Deuteronomy 6:21

We were slaves to the king of Egypt, but the Lord brought us out by His great power.

In this Exodus story, Pharaoh was a powerful oppressor of the Hebrew slaves. Moses was tasked with the assignment to secure freedom for a group of people who could not speak for themselves.

Detachment from an oppressor can be filled with chaos, conflict, and self-doubt. Moses encountered all this, yet remained firm in his commitment to secure freedom for God’s people.

Regardless of the century or the civilization, oppression is present whenever the powerful and the vulnerable co-exist.

Without excuse or explanation, you decisively detach from groups or organizations who exhibit little concern for social injustice or the negative impact it has on society.

You do not join those who belittle or diminish another’s worth. You remove yourself from environments which are darkened by oppression, hate, disrespect, or intolerance.

You speak for those who have no voice. You use the Lord’s words to bring freedom to those in bondage, healing to those in pain, and deliverance to those in despair.

Like Moses, you have been called by God for a special mission.  In spite of countless questions about what to say or how to fulfill your role, you choose to simply respond, “Here I am,” and then wait for God to reveal His plan, one step at a time.

Hold That Thought

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

We had been healed and delivered by the final words of Jesus from the cross, “It is finished,” so we knew there was significance in last words.  We understood that enormous effort goes into choosing the right words to say goodbye, finish a letter, conclude a speech, or summarize a presentation. Final words are important. They leave a lasting impact and have far reaching effects.

What began with the word finally, impacted us so deeply, we were never the same.

Our cognitive distortions and faulty thought patterns were measured against the 8 descriptive words in Philippians 4:8.  With these eight guardrails in place, we could choose which thoughts to keep and which ones to set aside.  Using the acronym, PREPLANT, we could check ourselves regularly throughout the day to make sure the thoughts running through our heads lined up with at least one on the list.

PURE – RIGHT – EXCELLENT PRAISEWORTHY – LOVELY – ADMIRABLE NOBLE – TRUE

If a thought did not meet the criteria, it was deemed unhealthy and carried the potential to make us sick.  We could not level up until we let go of the thoughts that didn’t measure up.

Highest Heavens

2 Chronicles 6:18

But God, can you really live here on earth with people? Not even the highest of heavens can hold you.

You see the expansive nature of God as you gaze into the night sky. When surrounded by the wonders of the universe, you stand in awe of the Maker’s design.

You love to examine the night sky. You are are captivated by the phases of the moon and the marching constellations as they glide across the atmosphere.

It is in this upward glance that you gain perspective. When you look at the sky, the purpose for your earthbound existence become clear. 

It excites you to realize that you have been offered a divine destiny by the Creator of the Universe.

As you look at the vast expanse, you are in awe that God calls each star by name. This offers you great comfort, for it reveals how intimately and personally the Creator values what He has made.

It is in this realization that you find security. Your Maker designed you for a specific purpose.

And just like the stars, you light up when He calls your name.

Connected to Christ

1 Corinthians 6:17

But they who join themselves to the Lord become spiritually one with Him.

Your physical body is aging, but your spirit is timeless and eternal.

Because of your connection to Jesus and the power of His resurrection, you have become one with Him. The Spirit of Christ lives in you and lifts you to new levels of enlightenment.

Springing up with Living Water, your spirit rushes like a river, creating the current which propels your physical form to each new assignment from God.

In union with the Spirit of Christ, you are able to generate supernatural energy.

This effect infuses the atmosphere surrounding you with a positive charge. This is why you are known as one who lights up the room wherever you go.

In this way, you are living inside-out, using the power produced by the Spirit to transform your human experience into an eternal, supernatural adventure.

Deliver Us From Evil

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13

Knowing that evil comes in many forms, you trust the Spirit to guide your intuition.

Maintaining a firm sense of right and wrong, you reject the evil presence of hatred and prejudice. You shun pride and arrogance. You see through deception and prefer to surround yourself with people who are true.

You avoid paths that lead to drama and chaos. Your sense of self is deeply rooted in your desire to do the right thing. You live by a set of standards which are aligned with God’s will and your own personal integrity.

Without judgment, repulsion, or excuse, you simply detach yourself from people who exhibit little concern for the pain they cause, or the negative impact they have on their fellow humans.

You do not join in with others who belittle or diminish another’s worth. You remove yourself from environments which are darkened by oppression, hate, prejudice, and intolerance.

Evil offends you deeply. You don’t understand why people are so brutal to each other.  In times of conflict, you seek God’s protection, so you don’t fall prey to this temptation yourself.

In quiet times, as you vent to God in heartfelt prayers, He hears and understands. The evil that grieves you, is the evil that grieves Him too.
