Finding God’s Purpose: Overcoming Personal Weaknesses

We found relief in knowing that it was His pleasure to make us into the people He designed us to be.

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases Him.”

(Philippians 2:13)

Since time did not exist in the spiritual realm, we held fast to our faith that somewhere in time, His work in us had been completed.

“I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 1:6)

We claimed our territory in the New Normal, assured that He would drive out our defects, one issue at a time.

“Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of your territory.”

(Exodus 23:30)

We became confident in God’s declaration that He had gifted us with the proper tools and traits to become functional in the land of our New Normal.

“God gives life to the dead and calls things into existence that do not exist.”

(Romans 4:17)

  1. What defect has God taken away that you never thought possible?
  2. What defect has God removed that you didn’t even realize was a defect?
  3. What defect has God removed which made you feel as if you lost a part of yourself?
  4. What defect would you like God to remove now?

Learning from Noah: Why Waiting Matters

“So, the floodwaters gradually receded from the earth.”

(Genesis 8:3)

There are times when you are ready to move into a new phase of your journey, but you have not been given the signal that it is time to move forward. Like Noah waiting for the water to subside, you may have to be patient and wait before taking the next step.

As the anticipation about an exciting new project build, the wait can sometimes seem unbearable. However, without a signal from God that the time is right, an otherwise successful mission might become a disastrous mess.

If Noah had skipped the waiting period and began unloading the ark as soon as the rain stopped, the passengers and animals might have all perished in the flood waters.

While the ark was not the most desirable place to be, it was the safest. It may have been quite smelly and dirty, but it was the right place for Noah to wait. In time, the waters receded, but it was a gradual process which required great patience.

Even though the waiting might have been tedious and boring, it was necessary. Noah may have been ready, but the earth was not.

Similarly, you also experience times when you are ready to take on a new assignment, but the new assignment is not ready for you.

Although waiting is often more difficult than the work itself, it is an essential element in your success.

Get Ready For Your Own Burning Bush Experience

“When Moses saw the burning bush, he was amazed. He went near to look closer at it. Moses heard the Lord’s voice.”

(Acts 7:31)

You have always known that God has a special plan for your life, but the questions of what, when, how, and where, remain unanswered.

Like Moses, you have a burning desire to have an impact on the lives of others, bringing social justice to a world filled with inequalities. You faithfully spend your days tending to the duties of life, while watching for opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of those you encounter.

When the time is right, you will experience your own ‘burning bush moment’.  It may come in the form of a dream, an event, a chance encounter, or an angelic appearance, but when it happens, you will know. The encounter will be powerful, surprising, and life changing.

When your burning bush moment comes, you may feel insufficiently equipped for the task God is asking of you. Don’t worry. Moses had the same response. Thankfully, God in His divine wisdom and mercy, already had a helper picked out for him. Aaron was called by God to help bolster Moses’ confidence and help him succeed at the mission for which he’d been called.

In the same manner, you too will be aided by others whom God has called to assist you in your call. Keep watching for these helpers as you continue your journey. They will cross your path, sometimes at the least expected moment, bringing clarity and confidence to your mission.

Your call is genuine and out of the ordinary. God’s plan for you is exciting, terrifying, and fulfilling. Your life on this planet will impact the lives of many who don’t even know you.

Your burning bush moment is sure to change the trajectory of your life and give you a divine sense of purpose. Wait for it.  Be prepared to do whatever God asks of you, even if you feel inadequate  or unprepared. He will empower you to pursue your call and give you the helpers you need to make it a stunning success.

Understanding Your Role as God’s Living Temple

“Praise the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who made the king want to beautify the Temple of the Lord.”

(Ezra 7:27)

The Old Testament Temple of God was a building with detailed specifications for its sacred use. The presence of God was available only during limited times and at precise locations within the structure.

But in this New Testament era of grace, Jesus has opened the way for God’s Spirit to live within you. The King of Kings wants to beautify your soul, making it a holy sanctuary for the presence of God.

As the dwelling place of God on this earth, you serve as His hands, eyes, ears, and heart. This is the purpose of your journey while you travel through your allotted time as a human.

Since God is a Spirit, His impact on the natural realm can only manifest if a human permits Him to function through their physical form, implementing actions that correspond with His objectives.

Knowing that the Creator of the Universe has entrusted you with His Spirit and made His home within you gives you purpose and direction. You know that none of the daily tasks of life are insignificant.

You recognize that each conversation you have with another human being is a sacred connection.

You know that each impulse of compassion, mercy, kindness, or strength is a signal for action from the Spirit of God which leads you to your next assignment.

As the temple of God, you keep your mind and body healthy and strong. You offer your physical presence to God as a living space where He can function through you to bring light and life to the people you meet and the paths you walk.

Living in Grace: Freedom from Religious Rules

Woman breaking a wall labeled with words like conformity, obedience, and strict adherence

“So this means that Jesus is the guarantee of a better agreement from God to his people.”

(Hebrews 7:22)

You may sometimes struggle to fully grasp the magnitude of the Grace Covenant which supersedes the Law Covenant of Old Testament times.  The Covenant of Grace is a better agreement that Jesus has personally guaranteed.

Rather than becoming entangled in religious rules and regulations, you enjoy a life of freedom and love, which is led by the Spirit.

You find that obedience to the Lord doesn’t feel like obligation or drudgery. In fact, it is an opportunity to experience supernatural intervention. Each new task is a divine assignment, and each new assignment is a chance to bond with your Creator while working together to complete it.

Christ has ushered you into a grace-filled existence. Your normal daily tasks are neither ordinary nor dull. Each moment holds a special purpose, and each step of the journey holds great significance.

Resting in grace, your life is on track for success. Without the presence of God’s grace in your life, you might worry that you are not progressing as fast as you should.

God’s grace has  you covered.  It places you at the right place at the right time. You need not stress or worry that you might miss His call or fail to take the right step.

Your faith in Christ allows you to live your life in the space of grace. In this space, there is no guesswork. Here, life moves in an orderly direction. God clears the path in front of you as each next step is revealed.

The space of Grace is a safe place; it is the right place; and it is the only place you wish to be.

The Role of Prophecy in Today’s World

“Nathan told David everything that God had revealed to him.”

(2 Samuel 7:17)

Nathan was a prophet who was assigned to be the King’s advisor during David’s reign over Israel. It was a powerful position with great responsibility.

Like Nathan, you have been given a gift of prophecy from the Holy Spirit. You receive messages of hope and encouragement to offer the people and times in which you live. This gift will position you in the presence of powerful people who need to hear what God has revealed to you.

Through specific life events, your spiritual intuition has been fine-tuned. You have insight and awareness which go beyond natural perception. It is quite possible that many of the messages you receive from the Holy Spirit will prove to alter the course of history.

In detailed, methodical steps, the Spirit is bringing you to higher levels of understanding. You comprehend God’s desire for protecting this planet and the precious souls that inhabit it.

God’s intention is that you share His words of restoration and guidance with His precious children who haven’t been able to hear His voice for themselves.

You may be called to write, speak, or both so you will receive opportunities to develop these skills in very ordinary ways.

You may not realize the magnitude of your prophetic messages, but as each word of hope falls into place, the ripple effect expands beyond natural limitations.

Coincidence or Divine Miracle? Understanding the Signs

The Lord says, “I did many miracles when I brought you out of bondage. I will show you more miracles like that.”

You are blessed with many opportunities to witness miracles. You see the power of God at work in the small details no one else notices. You see His design in anomalies that others view as simply coincidence

For this reason, you are given a front row seat to observe some of God’s most amazing miracles.

Not only are you able to perceive the impact of healing from a physical standpoint, but you also recognize when healing is taking place in those who suffer from mental, emotional, and spiritual maladies as well.

You know the people and you identify these miracles. You are able to see it all happen and confirm that each event is a miracle.

Understanding Humility: A Stealth Mission from God

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and turn from their cruel ways, I will hear from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

(2 Chronicles 7:14)

In a world filled with ambition and competition, you often feel out of sync. There seems to be little value placed on the extraordinary virtue of humility. This causes you deep grief.

You are called to be humble and gentle. Gifted with that anointing, you walk through many of your God-given assignments virtually unnoticed.

Since humility often transforms into pride once it is recognized, truly humble people rarely see it in themselves.

Humility requires a great deal of divine intervention because most humans do not find it very satisfying. There is no humble-meter which measures the level of humility a person has attained.

There is rarely any human praise or worldly reward for your commitment to the virtue of humility.

Your God-given assignments are often stealth missions, guided and monitored by the Spirit of God. It is through your humility and gentleness that His compassion is revealed to those who need it most.

His grace is poured out on you as you walk in humility. Covered by this supernatural protective layer, you are able to complete each assignment without the distraction of people-pleasing or blind ambition.
