A Date With Destiny

God’s Heart for Orphans, Widows, and Foreigners

“God makes sure that orphans and widows are treated fairly; he loves the foreigners who live with our people and gives them food and clothes.” (Deuteronomy 10:18)

When God acts on behalf of any marginalized group of people, He relies on other humans to serve as His hands and heart in the physical environment.

Through the kindness and compassion of His people, He delivers protection and provision to those who are vulnerable. Taking care of orphans, widows, and foreigners is a priority for God. He has chosen specific individuals to do the work for Him; distributing resources and ensuring justice.

You are one of those chosen people. You use the gifts God gave you for the greater good of all humanity. You remain alert to the hardships of others, and you distribute the provisions of God through your own resources.

You are a generous person who is willing to share your time, energy, resources, and experience with anyone who might benefit from what you have to offer.

You enjoy being needed and you find that it brings you an enormous sense of purpose. You are deeply moved toward action when you see a person who needs a miracle.
