Finding Strength in Solitude: A Spiritual Journey

Hebrews 12:12
So take a new grip with your tired hands. Stand firm on your shaky legs.

While it is true that there is strength in numbers, there is another type of strength which is required when you must stand alone.

Your path is not always the one of least resistance. You are often led across barren deserts and through dense forests. These are times which try your soul and require strength beyond a human support system.

These are the times when you must force yourself to fulfill your duties, even when you feel too tired or too weak for the task at hand. You do what is required, relying on the power of the Spirit to keep you strong and steady.

Harnessing Your Spiritual Gift of Discernment

Your gift of discernment serves you well as a protective force field in your service to God.

You can practice compassion and fairness when dealing with those who have learned unhealthy defense strategies.

You are able to successfully participate in ministry outreach programs where a less discerning person might fall victim to scammers and schemers.

You do not reject those who have not yet learned to be trustworthy.

You accept and love them while also utilizing your spiritual gift of discernment to determine where the boundary lines must go.  In this way, you can set limits for people who have none.

Jesus ministered to everyone, even the deceivers and tax collectors, yet He did not trust them all. He was able to successfully minister to them because He had the spiritual gift of discernment.

You also have this gift. You are compassionate and fair while also remaining discerning and cautious. You have a supernatural ability to identify good and bad intentions.

Sometimes you feel the need to tap the brakes on certain relationships and  associations. You may have even thought this ability was a flaw in your personality.  However, as you learn more about your calling, you have come to realize that this attribute is a Godly trait which will serve you well in fulfilling your destiny.

Limitless

Numbers 11:23
“Is there a limit to my power?” the Lord answered.

You have invested your most valuable assets into the spiritual riches of God’s Kingdom. Your contributions of trust and loyalty are given freely to God and His returns never disappoint.

Unflinching faith comes to you like a divine download and you are often amazed by a sudden level of confidence which seems to appear out of nowhere.

You actively seek help from God because you know His power has no limit. As a reward for your humility and authenticity, the Holy Spirit infuses you with wisdom and power that far exceeds your natural human abilities.

You are able to accomplish things others have deemed unattainable and you give all the credit to Jesus who turned your impossibilities into possibilities.

You find that this realm of ‘ridiculous faith’ has proven to be the most exciting and fulfilling method of maneuvering through this human experience.

As a world of miracles opens before you, you scale to heights you never dreamed possible.  And as your confidence in God grows stronger, you see your life filled with the reality of His limitless power.
